eYantra Robotics Competition 2019-20
The eYantra Robotics Competition is a prestigious six-month event requiring teamwork, technical expertise, and innovative problem-solving. As part of a four-member team, our theme was Survey and Rescue, where we developed a pre-emptive scheduling algorithm for a drone to aid individuals affected by natural disasters.
ROS Rover
During my sophomore year, I participated in Robofest, an annual project competition organized by GUJCOST, where I proposed and developed a ROS-based Rover under the guidance of Dr. Avani R. Vasant from BITs EDU Campus. This competition involved three phases:
Jetson Mate Cluster
The Jetson Mate, designed by Seeed Studio, is a cluster computer capable of hosting up to four Jetson modules. Whether you're working with the Jetson Nano 2GB, the 4GB version, or the powerful Jetson NX, the Jetson Mate provides a versatile platform for delving into parallel computing.
Armlab
The Armlab project, part of the ROB 550 curriculum in Fall 2023, was a comprehensive exploration into the autonomy of a 5-DOF robotic arm. The project involved implementing advanced computer vision, kinematics, and path-planning techniques. It culminated in a series of challenges where the robotic arm autonomously manipulated objects in its workspace. The project was not only a demonstration of robotics theory but also a practical test of implementation methodologies.
Botlab
The BotLab project was part of the ROB 550 curriculum in Fall 2023, focusing on the autonomy of a differential-drive ground robot, the MBot. The project encompassed fundamental robotics concepts such as motion control, perception, localization, mapping, and planning. By integrating these modules, I developed a fully autonomous robot capable of navigating and interacting with its environment.
